About Search on the Community

Users can search for content at community, category, or board-levels in the community. When users are at the category- or board-level of the community, their search is automatically scoped to search only that board or category. Users can change the scope of the search by using the drop-down menu next to the search field.

Advanced search

 

To use advanced search, click on the magnifying glass icon which will lead you to this page: http://community.silabs.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=labels

Click “Advanced Search…”

and choose search options.

 

With the exact phrase

Searches for these exact words in the exact order they are in.

With one or more of the words

Functions as an OR. Not all words you enter here are required in search results.

Without the words

Functions as a NOT. Excludes these terms from your search.

View results by

Search by the subject of a post or by the content of a post.

Results per page

Determines the number of search results on each page before pagination occurs.

 

To view forum/blog topics that have no replies, mark "in the Topics with no replies" box.

Filter Results In

Search for users by text in their username, biography or rank name.

Results

Determines the number of results to display per page.
