Switched Multiprotocol Demo with the EFR32 Mighty Gecko

[ Edited ]

The demo shows how to switch from Bluetooth mode to ZigBee mode and vice versa on the EFR32 Mighty Gecko development kit. The Mighty Gecko family of SoCs is ideal for designing energy-friendly wireless connected IoT devices. Part of the Wireless Gecko portfolio, the Mighty Gecko is the superset part and supports 2.4 GHz and Sub-GHz protocols, including zigbee, Thread, BLE, and Silicon Labs Connect stack for 2.4 GHz, as well as Sub-GHz for proprietary protocols.

Since they all share the same core, could this demo be done with the BGM121 or BGM123? Or the BGM113 or BGM111?

Re: Switched Multiprotocol Demo with the EFR32 Mighty Gecko

Unfortunately, none of the Blue Gecko products (ICs, modules) could be used for this as the mesh stacks (EmberZNet and Silicon Labs Thread) only support the Mighty Gecko family, for which the only released modules at this time are the Silicon Labs MGM111 and Samsung Artik-030.
