Si5351c: I2C register access when no clocks are provided

Hi,

I want to know whether I2C register access of Si5351c is possible when no clocks are provided. (without XTAL connection, CLKIN is DC situation).

I'm planning to connect CLKIN of Si5351c to SoC clock output pin, so the CLKIN is DC at boot time, activated by the software on SoC.
If I2C access is possible even no clocks are provided, no need to consider the timing of I2C access and CLKIN activation at the boot time.
If I2C access is impossible when no clocks are provided, be sure to activate clock before I2C access occurs.

Regards,
Tommy

The i2c access will work as long as VDD is 2.5V or higher. There is no need for input clocks (crystal or external input clock via CLKIN) to be present.
