Question

Is it possible to edit code with Vim style keystrokes in Simplicity Studio?

Answer

Yes, using the Eclipse plugin, Vrapper.

To install Vrapper, press Ctrl+3, type "install new software", enter the url http://vrapper.sourceforge.net/update-site/stable, and select the packages you want to install.  Studio V4 is required for the split editor plugin.

After Vrapper is installed, the editor will recognize Vim keystrokes (Vrapper can be toggled from the Edit menu).  Vrapper will only interpret keystrokes if Eclipse does not use them.  Therefore, any keystrokes you want to use will have to be unbound from the Eclipse editor.  To do this go to Window->Preferences->General->Keys.
