when i use the si114x control panel,i find my board,then click the "connect", the panel give warning "unable to initialize si114x function",like the following picture.what's more,i choose another item,such as proximity-general,ps1,....aways errors.please help me.thanks.

I had the same problem. I had pined the program to my tool bar on my desktop, and had been using the Performance Analysis Tool to look at the basic functions. When I tried to open the control pannel and connect to the Si1143-EB I got the same error (actually a few diffrent ones).
I'm not sure it is the same cause but here's what I did to fix it:
First I made sure I had "disconnected" from the device in the PAT.
Then I closed the CP and started the program from the source file; if your install is like mine it is under
c: > SiLabs > Optical_Sensors > Si114x > executable > OSCP > OSCP.exe
For whatever reason opening the .exe allowed me to connect to the board. Hope this works.

The Si114x Control Panel program is obsolete and not supported by Programmer's Toolkit. The new control panel is called Optical Sensor Control Panel (OSCP). Ratatoskr pointed you to the correct program to use.
