Thunderboard Sense Temperature Humidity Measurements

[ Edited ]

Hi,

recently I got the Thunderboard Sense and I really like it. It's a great small piece of Hardware.

However, it seems that there is a problem with the Temperature and Humidity measurement. They are either too low or too high.

Here is what my reference measures:

Temperature: 25,12 °C

Humidity: 61,96 %rh

Here is what the Thunderboard measures:

Temperature: 30,1 °C

Humidity: 46 %rH

I think that there is something wrong here. Has anyone the same problem or a solution for this?

Thank you in advance!

Re: Thunderboard Sense Temperature Humidity Measurements

Hi,

Your question is not related to Bluetooth so I moved it to the RHT sensor board.

Re: Thunderboard Sense Temperature Humidity Measurements

When the USB cable is plugged in the debug MCU causes heating. There is also heating if the LEDs are turned on. When the everything is battery powered with no LEDs on the heating stops and the temperature will return to normal although the time constant is a few minutes. The heating reduces humidity. This is why the temperature reads high and the humidity reads low.
