Incandescent lamp make PS reading unstable on Si1143?

I am using 1143 to make gesture detection and met a problem with Incandescent on.When I put the Incandescent lamp on, the variance of PS reading increase to 260. With Incandescent off, the variance is less than 50. Distance between Incandescent and Si1143 is around 30cm. Setting of Si1143 is as below:small IR photodiode, PS RANGE=0, default gain. Lux value of Incandescent lamp is ~1000(measured with an Lux Meter). I add the IRCompensation in my program(reference from slider demo code) and use below setting for IRcorrectionfactor. // Lg PD, PSRANGE = 0 // use { 17, 35, 29 } But after compensation, PS reading still changes a lot. Anyone have experience on this, Please advise. Thanks.

Re: Incandescent lamp make PS reading unstable on Si1143?

you need a DC powered lamp, AC powered will make the intensity vary at 50/60 Hz

sample the AC, detect a precise place on the curve, synchronize your readings with that
