Zigbee Network Impelementing Limitations and Best modules

Hi every body,

I have some questions about Zigbee Network Impelementing Limitations and finding better modules.

1- How many nodes (max) can add in zigbee pro mesh network practicaly?

2- What is the main limitation factors for zigbee MCUs that can not support more than a limited number of nodes(for example 250 nodes)?

3- If i have a big or large network (for example 2000 nodes in a Hotel) what chip do you offer me?

4- In practical, Which of the SiliconLabs modules are better for large zigbee networks?

Thanks.

Re: Zigbee Network Impelementing Limitations and Best modules

There's a case study at http://community.silabs.com/t5/Video-Tutorials/ZigBee-Case-Study-in-Large-Node-Network/td-p/129528 . I would suggest you to use EFR32 instead of EM35x for new Zigbee design.

Re: Zigbee Network Impelementing Limitations and Best modules

Hi again YK,

I have a new question. Is other stack software (such as ti z-stack 3.0.1) interoperable with EmberZNet pro?

I want to create my hub or gateway with EFR32 because of its memory and power and create other nodes with other cheaper modules. Is it possible?

Another question is: If i register kit for simplicity studio 4 once, Can I work with EmberZNet forever?

Thanks.

Re: Zigbee Network Impelementing Limitations and Best modules

I use both and they have no problem to work to each other.

Re: Zigbee Network Impelementing Limitations and Best modules

Can I increase the number of nodes connected to the network with this model? (ERF32 for coordinator and other cheaper chip for router or end device - for hotel application)
