Using CP2101 with Mac OS X

My company has a product using the CP2101, and I’m working on porting our desktop library from Windows to Mac OS X. I understand how to treat a device file as a COM port under *nix, but I’m not sure which device file is set up for me by the Silicon Labs driver. Is there any documentation on this driver? Or at least some example code?

This link should give you information on how to handle a serial device under OSX. Unfortunately it's very different from Windows, but the ideas are the same.

After you install the OSX VCP driver it will show up as /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART
