Interfacing CP2102 as USB device with another Freescale controller as USB host

Dear All,

I am a beginner in writing drivers, So request the support on the below topic :

I am trying to configure the Freescale controller board as USB host and CP2102 as  USB device. But when I try to communicate with the CP2102 : It shows error on serial port of PC as Unsupported USB device.

How should I resolve this issue.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Do you have OS run on the Freescale controller board? If there is no OS run on this USB host maybe you could refer to AN571 to know the API for CP210x and implement the driver on USB host.

Dear delu,

Thanks for your response.

I have MQX running on the Freescale controller board.

Further comments are welcome.

Re: Interfacing CP2102 as USB device with another Freescale controller as USB host

As far as I know Silabs provide VCP driver for OSX, Windows, Linux OS. Unfortunately there is no driver for MQX OS.

So you have to implement this based on AN571 on the host MCU.

My views are my own and do not necessarily represent the views of Silicon Labs

Dear WeiguoLu

thanks for your response.

So I need to write the USB_configurations and descriptors on the FreeScale board ( acting as a USB Host)

for CP2102 ?

Is my understanding correct.

Thanks & Regards,
