Can I use the UART and CP210xPortReadWrite at the same time?

Hi all,

I've download an CP210xPortReadWriteExample on your site. But I found that if COM port is used for UART print, then I can't CP210xPortReadWrite.exe. I want to use them at the same time.

My scenario: I want to use one of CP2104 GPIO pin to control a MOSFET repeatly to switch my board power on/off over several days on WINDOW 7 system, and I want to store the log file.

So can I use them on the same time by modifing CP210xRuntimeDLL code?

I guess you meant to open the COM port by a terminal application and CP210xPortReadWrite.exe simultaneously. I think this may not work (2 process access the VCP resource).

I am wondering if you could develop your own application based on the example and that could meet your requirement.

Yes. And I did a experiment they can not work simultaneously.

I discussed with software colleague yesterday to see whether they can do it.
