CP2104 - Add non-standard baud rates to device

How Can I add non-standard baud rates to my CP2104 device. I am looking for 250,000 bauds to develop DMX 512 communication but I would like also mantain standard baud rates in my device. Not programming my device to a exclusive rate of 250,000 bauds.

Re: CP2104 - Add non-standard baud rates to device

Hi Rey,

You can use the CP2104 at 250,000 baud.  The baud rate is selected by the operating system when you open the COM port.

Regards,

Joe

Re: CP2104 - Add non-standard baud rates to device

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your response, I will try again configuring 250,000 bauds from my visual basic application. I thought that the CP2104 would have to be configured to support such baud rate because when my VB application sends data to the device used as Virtual Comm port at 250,000 nothing response is received in the "BufferIn" of my Vb application.

other thing in doubt is why the baud rates showed in the Device Manager > Port Settings for CP2104 are just standard baud rates. I understand that such settings are defined by the VCP driver, right?

I appreciate your help.
