My situation is this.
I always used CP210 to my satisfaction.
Unfortunately.. Windows came with a update... results many problem ,,, new update build 14986, much better. Side effect CP210 is gone, okay try to install again. Big problem.
I'm not able to install CP210 again. Installation prog starts but nothing really happens. Check the device manager (windows) don't see CP210 there. So what is wrong?
Tried to delete (uninstall) everything no positive result. OK I see better remove all inf files , like " slabvcp.inf" no... can not delete them.
So what should I do...how can I resolve this?

You can get some help from the KB as below for how to uninstall the CP210x VCP Driver.
And then try to install the latest VCP driver which can be found in this webpage.

Manual uninstall , this link I refer.
Point 1 and 2.... these are not in my Windows!!!
And if I try to install the cp210 driver. The install-program runs yes.. but so far I can make
it up, it don't do a thing. effective nothing is installed in windows.

Did you get the "Completing the Installation of the CP210X USB to UART Bridge Driver" message when installing the driver ?
And does this port can work well with others usb device, such as USB disk/Keyboard ?
Noticed that some device may appear as "hidden" in Device Manager, maybe also can get some help from the MSDN link (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff553955(v=vs.85).aspx)
