WT32i Programming headset to headset communication with auto link

I have been trying to get the wt32i to communicate as either a cell phone or a headset that will automatically  link to a remote headset of unknown type so that I can communicate with it.

I need a basic command set to get this going. I can add enhancements later.

Thanks

Bill

Re: WT32i Programming headset to headset communication with auto link

Hello Bill,

for this operation you can use HFP and A2DP profile. For more information about those profiles please check following application notes:

https://www.silabs.com/documents/login/application-notes/AN986.pdf
https://www.silabs.com/documents/login/application-notes/AN992.pdf

In general if you want to use a WT32i as a headset you need to configure it as:

HFP and A2DP sink

on the other hand if you want to use it as a cell phone you need to configure it as

HFP-AG and A2DP source.

Also, please keep in mind that to be able to recognize the device correctly you need to set correct class of device.

Regards,
Anna
