The Silicon Labs Wizard Gecko WGM110 Wi-Fi module is targeted for applications where leading RF performance, low power consumption and fast time to market are key requirements.

 

The WGM110 integrates all elements required to build a Wi-Fi IoT device; including a 802.11b/g/n radio, integrated antenna, certifications, a microcontroller, Wi-Fi and IP stacks, an HTTP server and multiple protocols such as TCP and UDP along with end-to-end security with TLS/SSL.

 

WGM110 can host BGScript end user applications or be used in Network Co-Processor mode together with an existing customer MCU.

Well if you really wanted to go all out--do a Trail of Lights display worthy of Zilker park--right away might be more appropriate. The way I would do it would use around 8 WG boards. What I would use the WiFi for...I'm not saying on a public board. :-p
