I have a BGM development kit, I have installed SImplicity Studio and the BLE SDK. However, there I don't see any BGSCRIPT example folders.
I followed this post:
But there is no "stacks" folder in C:\SiliconLabs\SimplicityStudio\v4\developer
I have logged into Simplicity Studio with my community account.

Which version of the SDK did you install? BGScript support was announced deprecated some time ago and BGScript tools/examples were removed from the SDK starting from version 2.4.0.
I strongly suggest you start working with C as BGScript is no longer under active development. You can use the free GNU toolchain to build your projects, all the required development tools are free of charge.

Does this apply to the WGM110 as well? Is there a C SDK available for it?
No, this applies only to BLE SDK. There is no C SDK for WGM110.

If there's no more support for BGSCRIPT, how do I use SPI with BGM111?
The only example I see for SPI is based on BGSCRIPT:

We have a C-based SPI example for BGM111, see following KB article:
The "bit bang" SPI implementation you linked was just kind of an ugly workaround because BGScript does not have SPI support. With C based apps you can use USART peripheral for SPI transfers which makes it much more efficient.
