BLE SDK 2.3.0 issues

Hi all,

I am working with a  Blue Gecko Wireless Starter Kit with a BGM121 module and Simplicity Studio V4. I have installed the latest BLE SDK 2.3.0, which now comes under the Gecko SDK Suite. However, I am having trouble running any of the available demos. The device seems to reboot after it receives the BGAPI command to start advertising.

Below, is the log that I got from BGTool when I programmed the module with the 'ncp-empty-target' demo, ran BGTool and clicked on the Advertise Start button.

The issue does not seem to exist with SDK v2.1.1

Thank you,

Re: BLE SDK 2.3.0 issues

Apparently this is a small bug in 2.3.0 which they say will be patched soon.

This worked for us:

"Try lowering the transmit power with command cmd_system_set_tx_power before starting any advertising or scanning."

See the second post from JaakkoV in this thread:

Re: BLE SDK 2.3.0 issues

Thank you RYan!

I reduced the TX power to 3 dBm and it seems to be working fine now.

Re: BLE SDK 2.3.0 issues

Any news on the update?

Also, on this version, when I use energy profiler on an exiting code running on the board, the system resets.
