I can't read the package markings on the picture you took. If it is a 'F300 the numbers after are a trace code (to indicate which lot it came from) and a date code. 649 would mean the 49th week of 2006.

Joe, Thanks for your Response.
Here is a better picture! It is a
Portable 125KHz RFID Reader & Writer Duplicator Copier Programmer Device
I heard the F300 in these units are not stable. Is there a way I can read the F300 and save it to file.
In case I need it in the future. I am still reading more info. I bought this unit which has not yet arrived.

Is this Debugger used to read and write F300?
Once again thanks for your Time!

The F300 uses the C2 protocol. The debugger you have will work, connect to the C2CK and C2D pins (see the pinout on page 28 here: https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/data-sheets/C8051F30x.pdf ). You will only be able to retrieve the firmware from the device if it is not locked, and in most commercial products, the microcontroller is locked. You could ask the manufacturer if they will send you a binary of their code, but I don't know if they will.

You can ask for anything you want, but I'd think most manufacturers would be more reluctant to send source than a binary image. Of course, the point of locking the device is so that users can't get access to it, so if they did that, they may not want to share the code.

I have 2 of these Devices! They are like a 10 dollar unit. And so many Distributors in China
selling. Most of them say they are Manufacturers. Once I get my Debugger and Learn how
to use it, without Destroying the on Board F300.
