Question

Does the JTAG capability available on the EFM32 and EFR32 Wireless MCU Series 1 devices support Boundary Scan?

Answer

These devices support JTAG for programming only - they are not compliant with the Boundary Scan features of the IEEE 1149.1 standard.  This means that they can participate in (and be programmed via) a JTAG "daisy-chain".

For information on tools support for this JTAG chaining capability, see the KB article: MCU tools support for JTAG daisy-chains
